Turaki's PDP Faction to Appeal Court Ruling on Leadership

The faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by Kabiru Turaki has announced its intention to appeal a ruling made by the Federal High Court in Abuja. The court, presided over by Justice Salim Olasupo Ibrahim, upheld a preliminary objection from the defendants, declaring that the court lacked jurisdiction over the matter.

This ruling dismissed the case concerning the leadership of the PDP, which Turaki's faction sought to challenge. A statement issued by Comrade Ini Ememobong indicated that the faction respects the court's decision but believes the judgment is inconsistent and that there are grounds for appeal.

The faction remains optimistic about prevailing in the appellate court, asserting their commitment to the principles of democracy and the rule of law. They expressed determination to continue their struggle for political power, emphasizing that their victory may be delayed but is ultimately attainable.
