Adebutu Launches Campaign Agenda for Ogun Governance

On Wednesday, Ladi Adebutu, the PDP candidate for the Ogun State governorship, unveiled his campaign agenda titled "ITURA DE," which translates to relief or liberation, at the Ake Palace in Abeokuta. In his address, "A Call to Liberation," Adebutu outlined a blueprint for his administration, emphasizing local government autonomy, improved workers' welfare, economic revival, and expanded access to social services.

The ITURA DE agenda focuses on seven priority areas: security and law enforcement, local government financial autonomy, urban and regional development, rural and border community development, agricultural and industrial development, youth and women empowerment, and enhancement of education and healthcare. Adebutu pledged to strengthen security across farms and communities and restore genuine financial autonomy to local governments.

He also promised to address outstanding pensions and improve the ease of doing business for traders. Alhaja Yemi Showunmi-Kolapo, the PDP deputy governorship candidate, urged Ogun residents to support Adebutu, asserting that his leadership would alleviate poverty and maladministration.
