PDP's Oluyede Confident of Victory in Ekiti Elections

Dr. Wole Oluyede, the governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State, expressed strong confidence in his victory in the upcoming elections scheduled for June 20. He assured the electorate that his administration would bring a new dawn and fresh life to the state.

Oluyede's campaign organization, represented by press secretary Idowu Adelusi, called on voters to remain steadfast and not be swayed by inducements during the electoral season. The statement emphasized that the June 20 governorship election presents an opportunity for residents to remove the current administration, which they described as "heartless." Adelusi criticized the performance of the current governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and questioned the justification for the significant federal allocations received by his administration, highlighting a lack of visible development projects.

The campaign also responded to comments made by Vice President Kashim Shettima, asserting that the current governor does not deserve re-election due to his administration's failure to meet the developmental expectations of Ekiti residents.
