Pro-Democracy Group Defends Dr. Peter Adejoh Against Smears

The Global Integr Crusad Network (GICN), a pro-democracy and anti-corruption civil society organization, has issued a warning against smear campaigns aimed at Dr. Peter Adejoh, a governorship aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The group, represented by President Edward Omaga, conducted a preliminary investigation into allegations circulating on social media regarding Adejoh's past with Peach & Prime, a defunct foreign exchange trading company. GICN found these allegations to be politically motivated, noting that there have been no court indictments against Adejoh in Nigeria.

The organization highlighted that during the global economic recession of 2009, Adejoh chose to remain in Nigeria to rebuild his business rather than abscond. They emphasized his contributions to society, including scholarship initiatives and business empowerment programs.

The GICN condemned attempts to undermine Adejoh's reputation without allowing him the opportunity to address concerns and called for a fair assessment of his character and business dealings.
