Queen Ewuare Challenges Benin Council Over Peller Visit

Queen Ewuare of the Benin Kingdom has publicly responded to the Benin Traditional Council's claims that social media influencer Habeeb Adelaja Peller's visit to the palace on March 6 was unauthorized. Following the council's suspension and condemnation of the visit, which they deemed a breach of protocol, Queen Ewuare contested these claims, stating that the narrative circulated was misleading.

She referenced a letter dated February 23, 2026, signed by Uyi Ogiefa, which acknowledged Peller's planned visit and requested a brief audience with the Oba of Benin. Despite this, the council maintained that the visit lacked formal approval.
