Queen Ewuare Challenges Peller's Palace Visit Allegations

The controversy surrounding social media influencer Peller's visit to the Benin royal palace on March 6, as part of a nationwide tour, has intensified following Queen Ewuare's challenge to allegations of unauthorized access. The Benin Traditional Council, represented by Secretary Frank Irabor, labeled the visit a breach of palace protocol, stating that Peller's team gained access without proper approval, causing embarrassment and disrupting peace within the palace.

In response, Queen Ewuare rejected these claims, sharing a video on TikTok and presenting documentary evidence, including a letter dated February 23, 2026, addressed to Oba Benin, which acknowledged Peller's planned visit and requested an audience. She argued that the council misrepresented the facts and that the visit was authorized.

Despite her assertions, the council maintained its position, emphasizing that the palace is not a venue for casual visits. Peller's management team defended the visit, stating that due process was followed and there was no intent to disrespect Benin culture.
