PENGASSAN Proposes Solutions for Nigeria's Wage Crisis Through Collective Bargaining

PENGASSAN, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, has proposed solutions to address the current wage crisis in Nigeria. They urge worker unions to seek amicable resolutions through collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) to enhance wage conditions beyond the existing minimum wage.

PENGASSAN also advocates for Nigerian political leaders to pursue enduring legacies that prioritize the welfare of the people. The association highlighted the importance of structured CBAs to address income disparities caused by inflation.

PENGASSAN's President, Comrade Festus Osifo, emphasized the need for unions to emulate successful CBA negotiations to improve wages and member savings.
