APC Chairman Yilwatda Dismisses Defections to NDC

Yilwatda, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), addressed the recent defections to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during a statement made in Abuja. He characterized the exit of members, including 18 from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as politically insignificant and asserted that these movements do not pose a threat to the APC's rule.

Yilwatda emphasized that the defectors do not belong to the APC and described their actions as mere shifts within the political landscape. He also commented on the ongoing interest in the APC's nomination forms for the 2027 general elections, indicating a strong public support for the party.

Furthermore, Yilwatda mentioned that the APC is considering extending the deadline for the submission of nomination forms, citing timelines set by the electoral act. He expressed confidence in the party's organizational strength as it prepares for the upcoming elections.
