Ohaegbu Denies Okonkwo's Bribery Allegations Against Obi

Obunik Ohaegbu, a representative of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) for Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, dismissed allegations made by Kenneth Okonkwo, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Okonkwo accused Peter Obi, the leader of the NDC, of soliciting a N10 million bribe during the party's primary elections.

Ohaegbu stated that he never received any message from Obi regarding such a payment and emphasized that no bribe was requested or paid. He mentioned that Okonkwo's claims were unfounded and asserted that the NDC had not given automatic tickets to its members for the elections.

Ohaegbu also indicated that he would seek legal action against Okonkwo for the allegations. He reiterated that the NDC is committed to fair electoral processes and that any rumors of bribery or fraud surrounding the primary results are baseless.
