Peter Obi Rejects Baba-Ahmed's Pessimism on Nigeria

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), responded to Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed's negative assessment regarding the ability of leading presidential contenders to transform Nigeria. Obi highlighted his successful governance record in Anambra State as evidence of his capability to deliver results at the national level.

Speaking at the opening of the presidential campaign office for Seyi Makinde, the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Obi asserted that Nigeria's challenges could be addressed through effective leadership and institutional reforms. He emphasized his commitment to national unity, security, justice, anti-corruption, and investment in critical sectors to enhance the welfare of Nigerians.

Obi also stated that he would prioritize restoring Nigeria's reputation and rebuilding public trust in government, asserting that electoral malpractice would not be tolerated under his leadership. He reiterated his focus on fighting corruption and ensuring justice and law and order in governance.
