ADC Rejects ICPC Report on Alleged Fake PFIPC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed the interim report from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) regarding the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) as predictable and inadequate. In a statement by National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC accused the federal government of focusing on damage control rather than conducting a thorough investigation.

The report failed to clarify how a fictitious agency managed to secure federal office space, have civil servants assigned to it, and be included in the 2026 budget with a provision of N1.3 billion. The ADC expressed concerns that the ICPC's findings seemed more aimed at exonerating government officials than addressing serious questions raised by the scandal.

They criticized the report for suggesting possible accomplices within the government without naming any, and for only recommending Adeyemi for prosecution despite the ongoing investigation. The ADC emphasized that the PFIPC was not established by any legitimate Nigerian law or executive approval.
