ADC Demands Inquiry into PFIPC Scandal Involving Tinubu

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called for an independent judicial inquiry into the scandal surrounding the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The party, led by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, issued a statement on Friday, demanding that President Bola Tinubu establish a commission to investigate allegations of presidential foreign intervention.

The ADC claims that the controversy raises serious concerns about government accountability and the integrity of public institutions. They specifically noted a statement made by Tinubu's special adviser, Bayo Onanuga, on July 1, which they argue failed to address critical questions regarding the allegations.

The ADC identified ten individuals and institutions for investigation, including Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, and various government offices involved in alleged misconduct. The party asserts that the PFIPC is a fictitious organization that has engaged in questionable activities, including recruiting civil servants and interacting with foreign diplomats without legal standing.

They emphasize the need for a thorough investigation to restore public confidence in government institutions.
