PDP Demands Forensic Investigation into PFIPC Scandal

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has demanded a forensic investigation into the PFIPC scandal, which involves allegations against officials linked to President Bola Tinubu's administration. The interim national working committee, led by Dr.

Tanimu Turaki, called for an independent probe to be conducted by a reputable firm. They urged President Tinubu to suspend officials connected to the controversy, particularly regarding claims that Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila solicited a N400 million bribe.

Allegations also include that Matthew, a controversial figure, impersonated government officials and misrepresented himself to defraud unsuspecting individuals. Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga denied the existence of the agency in question and described Matthew as a con artist.

The PDP criticized the administration for its handling of the situation, suggesting it reflects a broader pattern of incompetence and corruption within the government.
