PFIPC Scandal: Budget Controversy Revealed by Adeniyi

Princ Adeyemi Adeniyi, the self-acclaimed director of the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), revealed that the agency attempted to secure a place in the Federal Government's 2025 budget. He stated that he visited the budget office in December 2024 to request inclusion, but was informed that the submission window had already closed.

Adeniyi alleged that a female official at the budget office facilitated a meeting with senior officials, during which he was asked to provide a gratuity for consideration of the PFIPC's proposal. He claimed that the director of the budget office explained that the PFIPC could not be accommodated in the 2025 budget process, which had already concluded.

Despite this, the PFIPC controversially received an allocation of 1.32 billion in the federal budget. Adeniyi is currently facing legal troubles related to allegations of forgery and impersonation, which he insists are connected to the agency's budget proposal.
