Timi Frank Demands Transparency in PFIPC Scandal

Timi Frank, a former deputy national public secretary of the Progressive Congress, has called for greater transparency regarding the PFIPC scandal amid escalating controversy. The scandal involves Adeniyi Adeyemi, who is alleged to be an impostor posing as the director general of a government agency.

Allegations include forgery of a presidential appointment letter purportedly signed by Femi Gbajabiamila and the operation of fictitious government accounts. Adeyemi was arrested by the Nigerian Police on October 27, 2025, and subsequently arraigned in a Federal High Court in Abuja on eight counts, including conspiracy and forgery, with a hearing scheduled for July 27, 2026.

Frank has urged the government to provide clarity on the issue and emphasized the need for accountability in public administration. He also called for an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Dolapo Tanimola, associated with Adeyemi, highlighting the serious implications of the ongoing controversy.
