Foreign Ministry Rejects PFIPC Partnership Requests

The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it disregarded three partnership requests from Adeniyi Adeyemi, the director general of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). Permanent Secretary Dr.

Dunoma Umar Ahmed presented this information to the House of Representatives on a Tuesday, addressing the Ad hoc committee led by Yusuf Gagdi, which is investigating the legitimacy of the PFIPC. The ministry received Adeyemi's requests on June 26, 2025, August 5, 2025, and June 5, 2026, seeking collaboration for the World Investment Summit in Nigeria for 2025 and 2026.

The ministry cited the need for due diligence and noted discrepancies in the letters as reasons for not acting on the requests. Dr.

Ahmed concluded that the ministry has never engaged officially with the PFIPC or its alleged director-general, highlighting ongoing investigations into the agency's legitimacy.
