Kwankwaso Hosts Obi, Makinde, Dickson in Kano Celebration

Rabiu Kwankwaso, a prominent political figure, hosted notable opposition leaders including Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor from the African Democratic Congress, and Seriake Dickson, a former Bayelsa State Governor from the People's Democratic Party. This gathering took place at Kwankwaso's residence in Kano during the Sallah celebration.

Kwankwaso shared photos of the event on his verified X account, expressing delight in hosting the leaders and wishing everyone peace and prosperity. The meeting comes amid ongoing speculation regarding potential realignments among opposition parties in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

Earlier, Kwankwaso had a closed-door discussion with Governor Makinde in Ibadan in February 2026, fueling talks of a possible alliance to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress.
