NCAA Grants Air Operator Certificate to Pioneer Airline

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) officially presented an air operator certificate (AOC) to Pioneer Airline, which is owned by Bayelsa State, on Thursday. This certification marks the beginning of the airline's commercial flight operations.

The event was attended by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, who noted that the establishment of state-owned airlines is a result of the aviation policies implemented by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Keyamo highlighted that the emergence of Pioneer Airline will significantly enhance air travel options within Nigeria, providing more choices for passengers.

Following the certification, Capt. Ungbuku, the Managing Director of Pioneer Airline, paid a courtesy visit to Minister Keyamo.

The minister expressed optimism about the airline's potential to expand operations and improve air transport across the country.
