Oluremi Tinubu Visits Anambra for Food Bank Launch

On Thursday, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri, Anambra State, for an official visit. She was warmly received by the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, his wife, Dr. Nonye Soludo, and other state leaders.

The visit marks a significant engagement as Senator Tinubu is set to launch the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South East Zone and commission an ICT Centre at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko. Dr. Samuel Obasi, the Director of the South-East Zone at the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, stated that the National Community Food Bank is an initiative by Senator Tinubu aimed at addressing malnutrition among children and women.

The food bank will be established at the Amawbia Primary Health Centre and will serve the Anambra Central Senatorial District, also providing support to other centers in Anambra South and North Senatorial zones.
