Cleric Claims Fulani Militia Attack in Plateau State

Pastor Timothi Luka, a prominent cleric in Yilpo, Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State, has insisted that Fulani militia attacked his community on April 30, 2026, leading to the deaths and injuries of local youths. Luka refuted claims by Gafdan, who suggested that the attackers were not Fulani militia, stating that the assault resulted in the death of a youth identified as Kyenshak Inusa and injuries to two others.

Luka emphasized that the community's youth, upon returning from a tin mine site, were ambushed, and he categorically rejected Gafdan's assertion that the attackers were not Fulani. He reported that 15 individuals were shot and sustained injuries, with many currently hospitalized.

Luka also mentioned that the community is prepared to defend itself against future attacks, criticizing the lack of timely military intervention during the recent assault. He listed the names of the injured and expressed the community's determination to retaliate against any further aggression.
