Plateau Governor Mutfwang Swears in Two Returning Commissioners

On Monday, Executive Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State swore in two returning commissioners, Bashir Datti and Ephraim Gar, following their defeats in recent elections. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos, where Deputy Governor Josephin Chundung Piyo administered the oath of office.

Both appointees had previously served in Mutfwang's administration before resigning to contest for political positions; Datti sought the Bassa/Jos North federal constituency ticket while Gar aimed for the Plateau Central senatorial ticket but lost in their respective primaries. Governor Mutfwang congratulated the commissioners on their return and urged them to fulfill their duties with integrity and commitment to public service.

He emphasized the need to align their responsibilities with the administration's agenda focused on sustainable development and improving service delivery across key sectors, including water resources and energy development.
