Gov. Mutfwang Reinstates Bashar Monarch in Plateau State

On October 2, 2024, Governor Caleb Mutfwang reinstated the traditional ruler of Bashar Chiefdom, a decision confirmed by the state Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. The Baccoda community expressed their gratitude, describing the reinstatement as a great success for community development.

Dr. Zakari Moham, the president of Baccoda, and Alhaji Yunusa Aliyu Garba, the secretary, issued a statement commending the governor's action as a hallmark of true leadership and statesmanship.

They emphasized Mutfwang's genuine commitment to grassroots unity, cultural preservation, and peaceful coexistence across Plateau State. The community leaders called for the people of Bashar Chiefdom and the entire Wase Local Government Area to rally around their traditional ruler, maintain law and order, and support the development initiatives of the Plateau State government.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with traditional stakeholders and the federal administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to bring dividends of democracy to the people of Wase.
