Tinubu Approves N2bn for Plateau Insecurity Victims

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved N2 billion for victims of insecurity in Plateau State during a meeting with stakeholders at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday night. He urged leaders, including Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, to engage in dialogue and seek peaceful resolutions to the recurring crises in the state.

Tinubu highlighted the importance of tolerance and unity among the diverse ethnic groups in Plateau, calling for a concerted effort to end violence and foster harmony. He instructed the state government to identify and address provocateurs contributing to the unrest.

The meeting included a 32-member delegation, comprising notable figures such as Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda, former governors Simon Lalong and Jonah Jang, and representatives from various sectors.

Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude for Tinubu's commitment to resolving the security challenges and pledged to work towards implementing recommendations from previous government white papers on security.
