Tinubu Urges Plateau Stakeholders to Seek Peace

On a Tuesday night at the State House in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu addressed stakeholders from Plateau State, urging them to return home with an open mind to seek peace and end the recurring crises in the state. He challenged the leadership, including Governor Caleb Mutfwang, to review past government white papers on security crises and implement resolutions.

Tinubu highlighted the importance of dialogue among leaders to address issues such as indigeneship, religion, and ethnic conflicts, which have historically fueled violence. He called for a concerted effort to achieve enduring peace, stressing that every leader must examine themselves and champion peace initiatives.

The meeting, attended by a 32-man delegation, followed recent violence in the Angwan Rukuba area. Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude for Tinubu's commitment to resolving security challenges and pledged to support peace initiatives.

The President also encouraged the identification of provocateurs to ensure accountability and justice in the state.
