BYM Accuses MACBAN of Shielding Attack Suspect in Plateau

The Berom Youth Moulder Association (BYM) has accused the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) of orchestrating a plot to shield Suleiman, a suspect arrested following an attack on Pwomol Village in Heipang District, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State, on April 5th. This attack led to the deaths of two individuals and significant property destruction.

BYM's president, Barr. Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri, stated that credible intelligence suggests MACBAN is attempting to procure a questionable medical report to claim that Suleiman is mentally unstable.

This claim is seen as a tactic to obstruct justice and protect those involved in the attack. BYM firmly rejected any attempts to manipulate the investigation and emphasized that the Berom people will not accept fabricated narratives that could derail justice.

The association expressed concerns that such actions could undermine the security of innocent citizens and send a troubling message to the international community regarding ongoing violence in the region.
