BYM Accuses MACBAN of Shielding Arrested Attack Suspect

The Berom Youth Moulder Association (BYM) has publicly accused the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) of orchestrating a plot to shield Suleiman Fulani, who was arrested following an attack on Pwomol Village in Heipang District, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State, on April 5th. The attack resulted in the deaths of two individuals and the destruction of property by suspected Fulani militia.

BYM's president, Barr. Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri, stated that credible intelligence indicated MACBAN's efforts to procure a dubious medical certificate claiming that the suspect is mentally unstable.

This claim, according to BYM, is an attempt to obstruct justice and mislead security agencies. The association firmly rejected the legitimacy of the medical report and emphasized that the Berom people will not accept any fabricated narratives aimed at derailing justice.

BYM expressed concerns that such actions could undermine the ongoing investigations and send a troubling message to the international community regarding the safety and justice for innocent citizens in Plateau State.
