Delta State Evacuates 34 Students from UNIJOS Amid Killings

In response to the recent killings in Plateau State, the Delta State government has evacuated 34 students from the University of Jos (UNIJOS). The evacuation was coordinated by Sundai Onoriod, the state director of protocol, who stated that the action became necessary due to the university's closure.

The management expressed relief that the students returned home safely, describing the evacuation as a result of a prompt government response. Newton Miracl, representing the National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU) at UNIJOS, expressed appreciation for the involvement of the Delta State government and stakeholders in the evacuation process.

The state government reiterated its commitment to the welfare of Delta students across the country and advised them to remain law-abiding while focusing on their academic pursuits.
