Plateau State Introduces Emergency Security Hotline

On Sunday during Easter services at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Old Bukuru Park, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State announced plans to introduce a toll-free emergency hotline. This hotline will enable residents to report suspicious activities, thereby enhancing rapid response to security threats across the state.

Mutfwang reassured citizens of the administration's commitment to safeguarding lives and property while intensifying security measures. He emphasized the importance of community cooperation in addressing insecurity and noted the recent attack on Angwan Rukuba as a reference point for the need for this initiative.

The governor acknowledged the fears and pain experienced by residents and reaffirmed the government's resolve to maintain peace and stability. He also raised concerns about the increasing rate of drug abuse among youth and called for collaboration with religious leaders to tackle this issue.

Mutfwang urged residents to avoid unnecessary risks, particularly at night, to reduce exposure to security threats.
