Tinubu Approves N2bn Relief for Angwan Rukuba Victims

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved N2 billion in relief support for victims of the March 29, 2026, Angwan Rukuba killings in Plateau State. This decision was announced during a meeting with a 32-member delegation led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, which included notable figures such as Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda, former governors Simon Lalong and Jonah Jang, and representatives from the Christian Association of Nigeria.

The meeting focused on addressing the recurring violence in the state, with President Tinubu urging leaders to seek peace and tolerance among diverse ethnic and religious groups. He called for a review of previous recommendations and emphasized the importance of justice and fairness in governance.

Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude for the support and committed to fostering peace in Plateau State, which has faced significant challenges due to ethnic and religious conflicts.
