Tinubu Approves N2bn Relief for Plateau Attack Victims

President Bola Tinubu has approved a N2 billion relief support for victims of the March 29 attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jo North Local Government Area of Plateau State. This announcement was made by the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr.

Moham Dorro, during a three-hour interactive session at the State House in Abuja. The session included a 32-man delegation from Plateau State, comprising various stakeholders and former governors.

The attack, which occurred during a church service, resulted in the deaths of 27 people and is noted as one of the deadliest incidents in Plateau State's recent history. During the session, Tinubu emphasized the need for peace and urged the delegation to identify provocateurs to face legal consequences.

He also reiterated his commitment to deploying troops and installing 5,000 AI-enabled CCTV cameras in the state. The President's visit on April 2 followed the attack, where he promised federal action to facilitate the return of internally displaced persons to their homes.
