Pochettino Saddened by Spurs' Relegation Battle

Mauricio Pochettino, former manager of Tottenham Hotspur from 2014 to 2019, expressed his sadness regarding the club's current struggles in the Premier League, where they are fighting to avoid relegation. Tottenham is currently positioned 18th in the league table, just two points away from safety after a poor start to the season, having played four games.

Pochettino, who took the club to the Champions League final during his tenure, was sacked following a disappointing start to the subsequent season. He has since joined Paris Saint-Germain and is preparing to return to the Premier League as a co-host for the USA's summer World Cup.

The club is set to face a challenging match against fifth-place opponents on Sunday, but will be without midfielder Xavi Simons for the rest of the season due to a knee injury sustained against striker Dominic Solanke, who also went off injured.
