Polaris Bank Launches Free Breast Cancer Screening Initiative in Nigeria

Polaris Bank has initiated a nationwide free breast cancer screening program in partnership with an NGO to commemorate World Cancer Day on February 4, 2026. The bank is committed to promoting community health and social impact by offering free screenings to 100 women across Nigeria.

Additionally, they support an ongoing free prostate cancer screening program for 250 men aged 40 and above. The screenings are designed to raise awareness, promote early detection, and reinforce the importance of preventive care.

The initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly focusing on good health, gender equality, and partnerships for the goals. The breast cancer screening event will take place on February 21, 2026, at the C.O.P.E.

Center in Lagos. Participants are required to pre-register, and women holding Polaris Bank accounts are encouraged to sign up.

The bank aims to empower individuals with knowledge and resources to seek timely medical interventions, emphasizing the significance of early detection in the fight against cancer.
