Nigerian Police Arraign 11 Suspects Over ARISE News Anchor's Murder

The Nigerian Police Force has arraigned 11 suspects in court over the murder of ARISE News anchor Somtochukwu Christella Maduagwu and security guard Barnaba Danlami in Abuja. The victims were killed during a robbery attack at a residence in Mabushi district.

The suspects, including Shamsu Hassan Sani and others, are facing nine charges related to crimes such as conspiracy, armed robbery, and murder. The court has adjourned the case until February 2026.

ARISE News described Somtochukwu as a cherished member of their team. The FCT Police Command has urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
