Police Arrest 14 Drug Dealers in Yobe State Raid

On Friday at 2 PM, the Yobe State Police Command conducted a coordinated raid on a criminal hideout in Jakusko Local Government Area, resulting in the arrest of 14 suspected drug dealers. The operation, led by the area command in Gashua, involved personnel from various divisions including Bade and Yusufari.

During the raid, police recovered 300 sachets of illicit drugs, which included tramadol, Vega tablets, and Indian hemp. The suspects, aged between 20 and 35, were engaged in the sale and consumption of these controlled substances.

The identified suspects include Hamisu Umar (20), Usman Wakili (25), Aliyu Moham (20), Hassan Ali (35), and others. Police spokesman Dungu Abdulkarim stated that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged in court upon completion.

The Commissioner of Police, Usman Kafani Jibrin, directed intensified raids on identified criminal hideouts as part of the command's zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and substance abuse.
