Troops Capture Five Suspected Kidnappers in Yobe

Troops of Sector 2, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), in collaboration with the Yobe State Hunters Group, apprehended five suspected kidnappers during an intelligence-led operation at Jegalari Village in Fune Local Government Area of Yobe State. The operation was confirmed by Captain Mohammed Goni, the Acting Military Information Officer of the Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai.

The raid, executed by the 233 Battalion stationed at the Damaturu Military Cantonment, was based on credible intelligence regarding the suspects' activities. The operation resulted in the recovery of three locally fabricated AK-47 rifles, one locally made pistol, assorted ammunition, and four mobile phones believed to be used in the suspects' criminal activities.

The suspects are currently in military custody along with the recovered items and are undergoing further investigation to ascertain their involvement in kidnapping and related crimes. Captain Goni reiterated the commitment of Operation Hadin Kai to counter terrorism and criminal activities in the North-east and urged the public to report suspicious activities to security agencies.
