Police Arrest 18 Suspects After Lagos Community Clash

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 18 suspects in connection with a violent clash that occurred in the Ilemba Hausa community in the Ojo area of Lagos. The clash involved youths, and videos circulating on social media depicted groups of young men throwing dangerous objects.

Adebisi Abimbola, the spokesperson for the police command, confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects are currently in police custody. The situation has since been brought under control, with senior officers deployed to the area to restore peace.

Abimbola assured residents that normalcy would return and urged the public to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious activities. She also dismissed claims that two police officers were killed during the incident, labeling such reports as false and misleading.

The police emphasized their commitment to maintaining law and order across the state and warned against the spread of misinformation that could incite panic.
