Yobe Police Arrest 2 Suspected Transformer Vandals in Sabon Gari

Yobe State Police Command arrests two suspected transformer vandals in Sabon Gari, Gashua. The suspects, Kabiru Ibrahim and Abubakar Abubakar, both 24, were apprehended for dismantling transformer components and cables.

The arrests followed credible intelligence, with the suspects confessing to the crime during interrogation. The police recovered several stolen electricity items.

The community expressed outrage over the habitual actions of the suspects, leading to an attempted lynching. The State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Ado, condemned the vandalism and urged the community to allow the law to take its course.

Investigations are ongoing for prosecution.
