Oyo Police Arrest 28-Year-Old Drug Dealer in Ibadan

On September 11, 2026, the Oyo State Police Command arrested a 28-year-old suspected drug dealer, identified as Rilwan ‘M’, in the Apata area of Ibadan. The arrest occurred around 0800hrs, following credible intelligence received by the command.

Surveillance operatives from the Iyaganku Area Command conducted targeted operations that led to Rilwan's apprehension. During the arrest, police recovered a quantity of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with other suspected dangerous drugs.

Rilwan is currently in police custody and is cooperating with investigators as they conduct preliminary investigations to determine the source and extent of his involvement in the illicit drug trade and to identify any associates.
