Zamfara Police Arrest 38-Year-Old Man with 954 Suspected Explosives

The Zamfara State Police Command apprehended a 38-year-old man, Mustapha Mohammad, for possessing 954 suspected explosives unlawfully. The arrest was made following credible intelligence, leading to the recovery of the explosives concealed in a Toyota Corolla.

The police suspect the materials were meant for use in improvised explosive devices by bandits. The suspect is currently in police custody, and investigations are ongoing to determine the source, intended destination, and possible accomplices linked to the crime.

This arrest comes shortly after the Oyo State Police Command intercepted a truck carrying suspected explosive devices during a stop-and-search operation in Saki, Oyo State. The recovered materials are under secure custody for further analysis and disposal by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.
