Anambra Police Arrest Motel Owner and Two Others for Illegal Firearm Possession

The Anambra State Police Command, led by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, arrested and detained three male suspects involved in illegal possession of firearms and illicit drug activities at a motel in Uk Idemili North. The suspects, aged 39, 26, and 18, were apprehended during a raid by the Rapid Response Squad in Awkuzu.

A pump-action gun and substances suspected to be cannabis sativa and crystal methamphetamine were seized during the operation. The owner of the motel confessed to the crimes, leading to the arrest of two other suspects.

The police reiterated their commitment to ongoing operations against criminal elements in the state and urged the public to provide information to aid their efforts in combating crime.
