Police Arrest Five Community Leaders for Ritual Practices

On Thursday, the Rivers State Police Command arrested five individuals from the Sii community in Khana Local Government Area for alleged diabolical practices, including intimidation and unlawful ritual activities. The arrested individuals are Chief Benedict Naalor, Deezim Nuadum, Dorka Etuker, Samuel Neekia, Deewii Cletu, Nuadum Kane, and Dr.

Lekia Nwiko. The arrests followed intelligence gathered by the police and were directed by the Inspector General of Police, with the assistance of Zone 16 Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

A legal petition dated March 10, 2025, filed by Mr. Fortun L.

Digine and Hon. Barigbor N.

Kenneth, alleged that community leaders and youth were involved in planting charms and intimidating activities linked to mysterious deaths in the area. The petition urged police intervention to prevent a breakdown of law and order.

The police confirmed that the suspects have been charged and are currently in custody, with investigations ongoing.
