Police Arrest Foreign National for Stealing 18 Rams

The Nigeria Police Force in Bauchi State arrested a foreign national, Sayyadi Abubakar, aged 58, from Tahoua, Maradi State, Niger Republic, for allegedly stealing 18 rams valued at N7 million. The arrest occurred on May 19, following an intelligence-led operation by a police monitoring team.

Officers intercepted a white Hummer bus and a Toyota Camry along Gubi Road in Bauchi, where they discovered the stolen rams. The police spokesperson, Nafiu Habib, stated that the rams were found near a filling station along Murtala Mohammed Road in Bauchi.

Abubakar reportedly confessed to conspiring with Alaji Ibrahim and four accomplices, who are part of a larger group involved in the theft. The police are continuing efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects, and the case is set to be charged in court for further investigation.
