Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command arrested a 19-year-old suspect named Naziru Alhaji Usman in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the early hours of May 9, 2026, in Bara Village, Kirfi Local Government Area. The incident was reported by a resident, Ibrahim, who informed the police that five armed robbers invaded his home, assaulting him and stealing several valuable items, including a bow and arrow, five mobile phones, two solar panels, and cash totaling 422,000 Naira.

Following the report, police operatives from the Kirfi Division launched a swift operation based on gathered intelligence, leading to Usman's arrest. During the operation, police recovered a bow and arrow, a cutlass, and the solar panels believed to be linked to the robbery.

Usman is currently in police custody as investigations continue, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other suspects involved in the robbery. CP Sani Omolori Aliyu commended the police's swift response and urged residents to support the police with credible information to combat crime.
