Rivers Police Arrest Four for N4.6m Fraud Scheme

The Rivers State Police Command arrested a four-man robbery syndicate involved in a fraud case totaling N4,607,199. The arrests followed a report made on April 26, 2026, by a female resident, Rosemari Vincent, who was deceived by Prais Sampson, a 20-year-old female from Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area.

Sampson, along with two male accomplices, compelled Vincent to produce her ATM cards, which were subsequently used to withdraw money from her bank account. The operation was coordinated by Assistant Superintendent of Police Bless Agab under the directive of Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju.

The arrested suspects include Prais Sampson, Michael Chijiok (36, from Abia State), Ndubuisi Jonah (from Abia State), Ehirim Ugonna (38, from Imo State), and Okek Chizoba Daniel (40, from Imo State). The police urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid sharing sensitive bank details with strangers.
