Police Arrest Four Cultists for iPhone Robbery in Ogun

On April 16, 2026, at approximately 11:30 PM, the Ogun State Police Command arrested four suspected cultists in Ilaro for armed robbery and assault. The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Samson John, 28-year-old Olufowora Michael, 25-year-old Odeh Samuel Ejeh, and 28-year-old Olajid Jeremiah, were reported to have attacked a residence earlier that day around 1 PM, threatening the victim with an axe and stealing an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Following a complaint lodged at the Ilaro division, police swiftly responded, leading to the recovery of several stolen items, including the iPhone, a locally made pistol, and an axe. The suspects are currently in police custody, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing gang members.

The Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, commended the prompt response of the officers and reiterated the command's zero tolerance for cultism and violent crime.
