Edo Police Arrest Four Suspected Cultists in Uromi

On March 24, 2026, the Edo State Police Command arrested four suspected cultists in Uromi, Edo State, as part of a sustained effort to eliminate cultism and violent crime in the region. The operation, which was conducted based on credible intelligence, led to the apprehension of Solomon Oboigb (27), Fide Omal (26), Julius Oseyomon (64), and Abraham Erumosel Momo (54).

During the operation, police recovered four English pump-action guns, nine live cartridges, and three expended cartridges from the suspects, who are believed to be members of the Eiye confraternity. The police emphasized that the firearms were obtained through illegal means.

Edo State Police Command's spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem, commended the operation and reiterated the command's commitment to combating cultism and criminal activities. The suspects will be arraigned in court upon completion of the investigation, and the public is encouraged to continue providing credible information to the police.
