Ogun Police Arrest Suspect in Motorcyclist Murder Case

The Ogun State Police Command arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the alleged murder of a motorcyclist, Sundai Ogbu, aged 36. The incident took place on Wednesday at approximately 7:00 PM in Igbesa, located in the Ado-Odo Ota Local Government Area.

According to DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the police spokesperson, the suspect attempted to seize Ogbu's commercial motorcycle, leading to a violent struggle. Ogbu raised an alarm, prompting police to rush to the scene, where he was found and taken to the hospital for urgent medical attention but was confirmed dead by the attending doctor.

The suspect was apprehended immediately after the attack, and a knife used in the assault was recovered as evidence. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for thorough investigation and prosecution.

CP Bode O jajuni condemned the act and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
