Seven Arrested for Armed Robbery in Katsina Metropolis

The Katsina State Police Command arrested seven suspects involved in a series of armed robberies in Katsina metropolis. The arrests followed an investigation triggered by a robbery incident on June 19, 2026, in the unwala quarter, where armed robbers, wielding cutlasses and clubs, broke into a family home and stole two motorcycles, seven mobile phones, and two power banks.

The suspects were identified as Sulaiman Sabo, Alia Labul, Muhammad Aminu, Muhammad Yahaya, Muhammad Daddi (20), Aliyu Kabir, Musa Kabir (20), and Ahmad Usman (23). Upon receiving the report, the police launched an immediate investigation, leading to the apprehension of the primary suspects.

During the operation, five stolen mobile phones, two stolen power banks, two cutlasses, a pinch bar, a flashlight, and a bunch of master keys were recovered. The suspects confessed to their involvement, and four accomplices, including Dahiru Nuhu and Tsoho Ibrahim, are currently at large.

The Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, Ali Umar Fage, commended the operation and urged residents to remain vigilant.
