Ogun Police Arrest Seven in Major Crime Bust

The Ogun State Police Command arrested seven suspects on charges related to armed robbery, cultism, and fraudulent activities. The arrests occurred during intelligence-led operations in the Ilaro area, specifically around Ibafo and Adatan.

The police recovered a stolen Toyota Venza and a Toyota Camry, along with three locally made firearms, 17 stolen mobile phones, and a laptop valued at N1.1 million. The suspects, identified as Bola Salau (42), Segun Balogun (25), Emmanuel Fridai, Tund Abioy, Ankpa Jame, Ogunsey, and Owodunni Seun (36), were apprehended following a complaint from a female victim regarding the theft of her Samsung A16 mobile phone and cash.

The Toyota Venza was confirmed stolen during a violent armed robbery on June 23, 2026. The police also arrested Ankpa Jame for a travel scam involving N1.276 million.

Investigations are ongoing to apprehend additional members of the robbery syndicate.
