Bauchi Police Arrest Two Suspects for Motorcycle Robbery

The Bauchi State Police Command arrested two robbery suspects, Mohd D. Sani, aged 25, and Sani Lawan, aged 20, in Ningi.

The arrests were disclosed by police spokesman Nafiu Habib on Thursday, May 4, 2026. The suspects were apprehended with a stolen motorcycle.

Further investigations revealed that on February 17, 2026, at approximately 16:30 hours, the suspects conspired to attack Mustapha Tukur, a 20-year-old male from Sabuwar Kongoro Village in Ningi Local Government Area. During this incident, they forcibly dispossessed Tukur of his motorcycle and fled the scene.

Following their arrest, the suspects were transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution. Sani Omolori Aliyu, the Commissioner of Police, reaffirmed the command's commitment to eradicating criminal elements in the state and urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
